Submissions for resale must be unusually good shakuhachi within their price bracket. Contemporary Japanese shakuhachi are preferred, rather than antique or historical instruments, unless they are of exceptional quality. Please call for submission information.

SOLD Old jinashi nobekan 1.8 shakuhachi. $400. Pitched at A440. This flute plays well and is well enough tuned to be used for traditional study. Third octave re dai kan is easy. Lovely bamboo. Nice tone. Lightweight.

SOLD Suikyo jinashi 1.8 shakuhachi. Huge bore and finger holes. Great Myoan flute in perfect condition. Goes way up into the top of the third octave.

SOLD Old jinashi nobekan 1.8 from Kyoto. $300. Nodes visible in the bore. Pitched between 1.8-1.9. This flute has been played a lot in its life. Lovely tone. Capable and well-tuned. Little adjustment needed. Very light, 260g.

SOLD Tamai Chikusen 1.8 shakuhachi $550. Nobekan jinashi, wide bore. Nodes visible. Lacquered bore. Plays at 1.9 pitch, C#. Interesting attractive variegated tone colors with pure jinashi construction and playing technique. Quite easy to play in tune. Reaches third octave re dai kan. Very light, 300g.
